Legendary Jazz Singer Al Jarreau Passes At 76.

On February 12, 2017 the world lost a wonderful singer with a smooth one of a kind voice. I first was introduced to Al Jarreau as a teenager through the television show Moonlighting that aired in the early 80’s. The series featured a young Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd, and I only tuned into the first minute or so to hear the theme song also named “Moonlighting” that was sung by the one and only Mr. Jarreau. He poured his heart plus soul into his music and concerts, and won mutliple grammy’s to back up that claim. I was fortunate enough to see him perform at an outdoor summer concert in Oklahoma City back in 2012. It was about 90 degrees that evening , but he never missed a beat or note and kept the crowd rocking with his hits such as “Boogie Down” and “Mornin”. Rest in power brother, even though  you will be truly missed you live on through your beautiful music.
